HOWELL, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Police say a 62-year-old woman attempted to shoplift from a Walmart during a “Shop with a Cop” event in Livingston County last weekend.
Seventy-five police officers attended the event gives area children an opportunity to partner up with a police officer and shop for themselves and family for the holidays.

Walmart staff notified a Michigan State Police trooper that the woman was attempting to steal more than $700 worth of merchandise.
The trooper followed the woman out to her vehicle and arrested her. It happened to be parked next to all the patrol vehicles of the officers participating in the event.
