LAPEER, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Ethan Crumbley, the 17-year-old Oxford school shooter, has received his third misconduct citation since he arrived at the Thumb Correctional Facility following a fight with a fellow prisoner on Tuesday.

According to a spokesperson for the Michigan Department of Corrections, Crumbley got into a fight with another 17-year-old prisoner in the Youthful Housing Unit at the Lapeer prison, adding there were no weapons involved and no serious injuries. The two involved in the fight will face hearings to determine possible sanctions. Crumbley’s two other misconduct citations were for horseplay with another prisoner and fighting with another prisoner.

Crumbley was sentenced in December of 2023 to life in prison without parole for the shooting deaths of four fellow students and injuring seven others. His parents, James and Jennifer Crumbley, were both found guilty of four counts of manslaughter for their roles in their son’s mass shooting and will be sentenced April 9.
