FLINT, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Rue21, a mall staple for teen apparel, is going out of business and closing all 540 of its stores soon.

The company filed for bankruptcy this week for the third time, signaling the end of nearly 50 years in business for the retailer.

Closures will include 19 locations in shopping centers across Michigan:

  • Fairlaine Green in Allen Park.
  • Great Lakes Crossing Outlets in Auburn Hills.
  • Birch Run Premium Outlets.
  • Genesee Valley Center Mall in Flint Township.
  • Birchwood Mall near Port Huron.
  • Woodland Mall in Kentwood.
  • Rivertown Crossings Mall in Grandville.
  • Westwood Mall in Jackson.
  • Central Michigan Commons in Mount Pleasant.
  • The Lakes Mall in Norton Shores.
  • Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi.
  • Meridian Mall in Okemos.
  • The Crossroads Mall in Portage.
  • Macomb Mall in Roseville.
  • Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw Township.
  • Southland Center in Taylor.
  • Oakland Mall in Troy.
  • Green Ridge Square in Alpine Township.
  • Hoover 11 Shopping Center in Warren.

The retailer has about $200 million in debt and 4,900 employees.
