In December 2022, an 82-year-old woman froze to death outside her home at Vista Springs Imperial Park in Clinton County. She was under O’Connor’s care. Prosecutors argued O’Connor witnessed the victim twice try to go outside in a blizzard without appropriate clothing and that she failed to act to help her patient.

A snowplow driver found the patient the next morning partially buried in snow. She later died at a hospital.

O’Connor will be sentenced on July 29.
