BURTON, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A former police officer in Genesee County is facing embezzlement charges.
Brendan Stocker, a former K-9 handler in Burton, is accused of lying on his time card. He allegedly wrote on his time card he was working but had not returned to his shift after physical therapy appointments.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton said the charges stemmed from a city of Burton investigation.
Stocker is free on bond.
