KALKASKA, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 60-year-old physician assistant from Kalkaska County is facing charges related to allegedly using more than $200,000 in COVID-19 pandemic assistance funds for his own personal use.
U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan Mark Totten said Todd Kreykes used those funds to purchase vehicles, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, remodel his home, and pay for vacations and personal expenses.
Kreykes agreed to a plea deal in which he will make full restitution to the federal pandemic programs prior to his sentencing, according to court reports.
He faces a maximum possible sentence of 10 years in prison.
