TAWAS CITY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – If you plan to swim or boat in Tawas City this summer, you can borrow a flotation device when visiting Gateway Park.

The Ascension St. Joseph Foundation received a grant from Sea Tow Foundation to provide a rack of loaner life jackets in the park; Sea Tow Foundation has provided more than 90,000 life jackets to businesses and organizations nationwide since 2008.

The life jackets in Tawas City range in size from infant to adult XL. They are recommended for everyone on the water to help prevent drownings. Anyone who takes a life jacket should return it when finished.
