PONTIAC, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – After failing to come to a deal in recent talks with the university, Oakland faculty have informally voted to authorize a strike.
The strike could come as soon as Tuesday. However, the union and the school are set to speak again that day with a mediator to avoid a strike.

More than 300 Oakland University faculty members are fighting for higher wages.
Classes are scheduled to start on Wednesday.
