LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A chicken-based dog treat sold online and in stores across 19 states, including Michigan, has been recalled over the potential risk of salmonella.
The Food and Drug Administration(FDA) said the affected product is Hollywood Feed Carolina Made Chicken Chips. The decision to recall the treats comes after third party lab tests noted the “potential for contamination.” In addition, the lab found contamination in a lot of the same product that hadn’t been released yet. As of Tuesday, no illnesses had been reported.

The recalled treats come in a 16-ounce bag with a lot number of “20051324L2” and expiration date of Nov. 13, 2025.
