TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A scary scene at a Walmart store in Traverse City unfolded on Saturday afternoon that left a suspect in custody and ten people recovering from stab wounds.

Police said a man wielding a knife allegedly stabbed the customers inside the store. The suspect is in custody and police aren’t searching for anyone else.

Three of the victims are in surgery.

As a result of the incident, police locked down stores in the Crossings Circle Shopping Center. As of Saturday at 6:45 p.m. areas of the shopping center remains closed. Multiple agencies responded to the scene including city and state police and the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Department. Other officers from surrounding counties also assisted.
