IRONWOOD, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Are you ready to power up your career? Look no further than Gogebic Community College in the western U.P. which will offer a one-year program to train the next generation of electric line technicians.
The program looks to train future electric line technicians and put them into careers as soon as possible. GCC reports there are more than 800 job postings in Michigan for electric line technicians. The one-year program offers hands-on training with real equipment to teach students how to install poles, towers, wires and cables.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the annual mean wage in Michigan in the industry is roughly $92,000. In addition, employment of electrical power-line installers and repairers is projected to grow 8% from 2023 to 2033.
