LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Early voting is underway across Michigan.

If you’re looking to cast your ballot before Election Day, early in-person voting runs through Sunday, November 2. In 2022, Michigan voters approved a constitutional amendment that gives voters the right to vote early and in person at early voting sites before statewide and federal elections.

Communities may also choose to provide early voting for local elections.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. through 8 p.m. on Election Day, which is Tuesday, Nov. 4. This is an “off year” so communities that have elections will vote on local issues, like school bonds or municipal funding. Some cities are also holding city leader and mayoral elections, like Detroit.
