DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Thanksgiving Day served up a lot of turkey, including on Ford Field as the Detroit Lions fell to the Green Bay Packers 24-31.
The Packers (8-3-1) swept the season series to earn a potential tiebreaker in the NFC North. The Green Bay team is in second place in the division behind the Chicago Bears (8-3). The Bears take on Eagles in Philadelphia on Friday.

The two-time defending division champion Lions (7-5) entered the Thanksgiving game with the dream of the playoffs out of bounds, then fell further behind with a third loss in five games.
Detroit turned the ball over on downs on the opening drive of the second half and early in the fourth quarter.
The Lions are now 1-4 when it comes to a Thanksgiving record under head Coach Dan Campbell.
Amon-Ra St. Brown left the game in the first quarter with an ankle injury. A concussion sidelined cornerback Terrion Arnold. Edge rusher Marcus Davenport returned after sustaining a shoulder injury.
The Detroit Lions will host Dallas on Dec. 4.
