ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A six-year victory run over its main rival came to an end for the University of Michigan football team on Saturday afternoon.
For the first time since 2019, the no. 1-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes knocked off the Michigan Wolverines in a 27-9 win.

The loss at The Big House dashed Michigan’s hopes of vying for a spot in the College Football Playoff field in addition to playing for a Big Ten title.
Michigan did get on the scoreboard first, but the team’s inability to finish drives early and move the football throughout the game became the team’s undoing. Redshirt freshman running back Jordan Marshall ran for 61 yards but missed some of the game after a previous shoulder injury proved problematic.
Quarterback Bryce Underwood marked a mistake-free game, but only finished just 8 of 18 for 63 yards passing, and ran for 1 yard.
The Wolverines are eligible for a high-level Big Ten bowl game. That will be determined on Sunday, Dec. 7.
