DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – President Donald Trump is returning to Michigan on Tuesday, Jan. 13 and his visit will coincide with the opening week of the Detroit Auto Show at Huntington Place.
Trump will speak at the Detroit Economic Club, which is no stranger to presidential visits. The Detroit Economic Club boasts a long list of government and political leader guests dating back to 1934. Those include Presidents Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Clinton and George W. Bush.

The visit comes with the latest economic news from the Trump administration. Starting on Jan. 20, 2026 the Trump administration will put a one year cap of 10% on Credit Card interest rates.

This marks President Trump’s first visit to Michigan since April 2025. This will be Trump’s third appearance at the club, following campaign speeches in August 2016 and October 2024.
