“I look forward to delivering my 2026 State of the State Address where I will lay out my plan to build on our years of strong, bipartisan progress and strategic, fiscally responsible leadership,” said Governor Whitmer.

According to a release from Whitmer’s office, she will outline plans that build on her administration’s accomplishments. She’ll also touch on job creation, lowering costs, continued record investments in education and literacy, and expanding housing.

Whitmer cannot run for governor in November 2026 because of term limits. Both Republican and Democrats have crowded fields of candidates.
