ST. IGNACE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Law enforcement pulled over a Texas semi-truck driver on the Mackinac Bridge earlier this week where a traffic stop for speeding turned into a major arrest.

Michigan State Police say that stop led to the discovery of 27 illegal weapons, including five loaded pistols and a 32-inch sword.

In addition, 54-year-old Eric Koroscik had an active warrant for his arrest. He was arrested without incident.

Beyond the weapons violations, troopers said the driver had two open containers of alcohol. A subsequent inspection of the truck revealed that Koroscik had allegedly falsified his electronic logging device records.

Koroscik was arraigned on Thursday; he will be back in court on April 10.
