HILLSDALE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The public will have a chance to explore Hillsdale College’s newest shooting sports facility during a two-day open house this weekend.

Hillsdale College will host a public open house for the newly completed Nimrod Complex from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 6 and March 7 at the Halter Shooting Sports Education Center.

The new indoor and outdoor facility is designed to support collegiate competition, training and community use. The expansion adds dedicated ranges for archery, air guns, rifles and pistols, along with specialized shooting lanes and classrooms.

The complex includes 60 indoor 10-meter precision lanes and 20 indoor 25-meter archery lanes. It also features 24 indoor-outdoor 50-meter smallbore lanes for multiple shooting disciplines. For handgun practice, the facility offers 12 indoor-outdoor covered retractable centerfire pistol lanes measuring 50 feet.

Visitors attending the open house can view the ranges from a mezzanine observation area and learn more about the programs offered at the center. The event will also include access to the Liberty & Co. Pro Shop, along with raffles and giveaways for attendees.
