LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Governor Gretchen Whitmer has declared a state of emergency for four Michigan counties following a water main break on Saturday.
Whitmer declared states of emergency for Lapeer, Macomb, Oakland and St. Clair counties following the water main break that prompted the Great Lakes Water Authority to issue a boil water advisory.

The declaration makes all state resources available in cooperation with local response and recover efforts.
The water main in in question distributes finished drinking water from the Lake Huron Water Treatment facility to communities in the norther part of Metro Detroit.
