OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – One county administrator is retiring after a shift in power in the primary election.

Lisa Stefanovsky, the director of the Ottawa County Health Department, has submitted plans to retire no later than March 31st.

She has overseen the department since 2006.

There appears to be a power shift on the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners after the Ottawa Impact group won eight of the nine primaries.

The group has been outspoken over the masking of students in school.

Stefanovsky will remain in her spot until a successor is hired. If the board fires her before that date, it must pay three months of salary and benefits.
