DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Lafayette Coney Island in Detroit is closed temporarily after the health department ordered it closed over an inspection that revealed signs of rodent droppings.
The restaurant reopened later that day before the health department showed back up on Wednesday and ordered them closed.

An unannounced inspection will take place in the next few days to see if it is fit to reopen.
American Coney Island is right next door. The health department inspected it on Tuesday as well, and did not find any evidence of rodents or health violations.
