YPSILANTI, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Ypsilanti Community Schools is the first district in the state of Michigan to be honored as a System of Distinction from it’s accreditation provider Cognia Global Network.

The award is given to those districts who demonstrated excellence during their 2021-22 accreditation reviews. YCS is one of 39 school systems out of the 1,500 systems who get measured.

Districts given the award effectively implement high-quality instruction, show consistent organizational effectiveness and maintain a commitment to continuous improvement.
