IONIA, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 42-year-old woman will stand trial in the death of two bicyclists.

Mandy Benn will stand trial on two counts of second degree murder for crashing into a line of Make-A-Wish bicyclists and killing Edward Erickson, 48, of Ann Arbor, and Michael Salhaney, 57, of Bloomfield Hills. Benn is also accused of injuring three others.

She faces 15 charges from the accident where prosecutors contend she was high on a cocktail of drugs. Benn was trying to pass a UPS truck in the opposite lane when she hit the riders.
