MARQUETTE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Grab your skis and get ready to schuss down a mountain – right here in Michigan!

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is reminding Michigan residents that the Porcupine Mountains Winter Sports Complex provides great skiing, along with stellar views of Lake Superior.

DNR officials say “Skiing the Porkies” offers someone for everyone, regardless of skill level. All that’s needed is a Recreation Passport to enter the park and a lift ticket to use the triple lift.

The opening date is slated for Dec. 30.
