SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A decade of planning for upgrades at Isle Royale National Park in The Upper Peninsula has finally received the green light.
The National Park Service has released their assessment for the Isle Royale National Park Cultural Resource Management Plan/Environmental Assessment, and it came back as “No Significant Impact.”

They can now start working on restoration of historical structures, more visitor opportunities, further documentation of wildlife in the area, receiving ownership of local lighthouse, and further studies of the area and history.
