CHELSEA, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 23-year-old Chelsea man has pled guilty to misdemeanors of aggravated assault and hunter harassment and will serve his 60-day jail sentence in Marquette County.
Thomas Steel III is guilty of repeatedly sabotaging a hunter’s tree stand; it eventually caused the hunter to fall nearly 20 feet to the ground.

Along with the time in jail, Steel will lose his hunting privileges in Michigan for an unspecified amount of time, along with his rights in nearly 50 other states.
In addition, he must reimburse the hunter for his medical bills sustained from the fall.
