SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Sault Ste. Marie Bridge Authority wants to remind  commuters that the Prox toll cards will be phased out starting this spring at the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge.

Starting April 1, drivers using the Prox toll card system will be required to use the “all traffic” lanes when crossing the bridge.

The Prox cards will continue to be accepted through the end of 2023. The new system will be similar to the window sticker currently used at the Mackinac Bridge.

The changes are part of the project to modernize toll systems at the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge and the Blue Water Bridge.
