MUNISING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The U.S. Coast Guard said it has suspended a search for a missing ice climber.

The Coast Guard said according to a report issued around 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, a 31-year-old man fell from a cliff at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore while climbing with his friend.

 The Coast Guard said “The helicopter searched into the evening but was unable to locate the missing man, and a second helicopter from Air Station Traverse City returned at first light and completed its search, also with no sightings.”
