DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – U.S. Border Patrol agents announced the arrest of five people in an attempted smuggling near Algonac last month.
Agents with the Detroit Sector of the Border Patrol spotted a boat in the St. Clair River near the international border, a known as a smuggling route.
They contacted agents in Marysville who responded and detained them. The group is being processed for violating U.S. Immigration laws.
