DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – The Detroit City Council has given the thumbs up to a $2.6 billion budget for the 2024 fiscal year.
One of the changes will have the city reallocating $59 million in rescue plan funds to address more immediate projects like affordable housing.

The budget also includes increases to the health department for outreach to people with disabilities, increasing pay for bus drivers, and almost three million dollars to the Charles H. Wright Museum of African-American History.
