EAST LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Michigan State University Board of Trustees has refused to give Attorney General Dana Nessel the remaining 6,000 documents related to the investigation of incarcerated sports doctor Larry Nassar.
The MSU Board voted no on Friday, seven days after Nessel formally renewed the request for the remaining documents regarding the department’s investigation of Nassar. The board cited “attorney-client privilege” as the reason for refusing to hand over the documents.
Nassar was sentenced to decades in prison after he sexually abused hundreds of women and girls under the guise of medical treatment.
Since Nassar’s bombshell trial, MSU has said it is trying to “change the culture” when it comes to handling sexual harassment, abuse, and rape allegations.
