FLINT, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Community groups are coming together to make sure vacant lots in Flint remain clean and green.
An upwards of 66 community groups are pledging to handle grass-cutting and trash pickup up almost 3,600 vacant properties this summer in Flint.

The “Clean and Green” program has been keeping abandoned properties under control since 2004. The program is funded through grants from the Ruth Mott Foundation, the Michigan Youth Violence Prevention Center and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority.
