LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Amid bankruptcy restructuring, Rite Aid will be closing 19 underperforming stores in Michigan.

The company, which has more than 2,100 pharmacies in 17 states, plans to close a total of 154 locations.

Customer prescriptions will be transferred to other pharmacies to avoid disruptions. The company said employees will be transferred to other Rite Aid stores when possible.

All 19 Michigan stores that are closing are in the Lower Peninsula.
