GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The vote over removing Ottawa County Administrative Health Officer Adeline Hambley is set for Monday after hours of testimony before the county commission this week.

County commissioners want to fire her for neglect and incompetence along with going to the news media when County Administrator John Gibbs wanted to slash her department’s budget to $2.5 million for this fiscal year.

The Ottawa Impact-majority board appears ready to fire her and hire Nate Kelly for the job.

Kelly was against all COVID-19 measures put in place at the local, state, and federal levels, while Hambley backed them.
