LUDINGTON, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Despite the temporary closure of Ludington State Park for construction starting on September 3, certain areas such as Dune trails and select Lake Michigan beach areas will remain open for day-use.
The closure, expected to last nearly a year, aims to facilitate various improvement projects within the park. These projects include repaving the main road, enlarging the beach and warming shelter parking lots, and resurfacing the Hamlin Lake parking area.
