JACKSON, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The city of Jackson wants to keep people from partying on city-owned parking lots.
Earlier this week, the Jackson City Council voted to add an emergency ordinance to keep people out of parking lot 9A. The move stems from a Memorial Day Weekend incident that results in multiple gun violence incidents.

The emergency ordinance has the ability to apply to all City of Jackson-owned parking lots.
People who violate the ordinance face fines or up to 90 days in jail.
