FLINT, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Crews have broken ground on a new, multi-million dollar project for the University of Michigan – Flint (UM-Flint) campus.
The university kicked off phase one of its new Innovation and Technology Complex, and construction is underway.

Officials said the 14,000 square-foot complex will feature state-of-the-art technology centric labs for students and faculties to use in order to learn, collaborate, and solve problems.
The complex is a $50 million investment to the Flint campus that received funding from the Michigan legislature, U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Agency, and the Mott Foundation.
Construction is expected to take about 18 months; it should be open to students in the fall of 2025.
