LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Eggs sold in Michigan, along with Illinois, Wisconsin, California, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Utah, and Virginia, have been recalled after infecting 65 people with salmonella.

Milo’s Poultry Farms LLC, located in Wisconsin, recalled the eggs on Sept. 6. Those eggs wound up at stores and restaurants labeled with “Milo’s Poultry Farms” or “Tony’s Fresh Market.” All eggs, types, sizes and expiration dates are recalled. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urged customers to throw the eggs away or return them to the store.

Twenty-four people were hospitalized. No deaths have been reported.

An inspection of Milo Poultry Farms found the outbreak strain of salmonella in the packing facility and the hen egg laying house.
