BAY CITY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A life-saving tool is hitting the water in Bay County.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office now boasts an airboat in its arsenal for ice and water rescues. Members of the sheriff’s office trained on the airboat this week.

The airboat can reach a top speed of 30 knots, which is around 35 miles per hour.
In addition, The Bay County Sheriff’s Office used money from the 2022 Community Projects Grant to purchase body cameras and a patrol vessel.
