GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Another baby gear recycling event from Grand Rapids-based Meijer is underway.

Now through May 17, Meijer will collect unneeded, expired, or damaged baby items like car seats and strollers in exchange for an mPerks coupon for new baby gear.

Meijer held its first baby gear recycling event last fall where it collected more than 26,000 pounds of baby gear for recycling. The retailer said the collected recycled items are sent to Meijer partners where they are made into new products like plastic buckets, construction beams, and carpet padding.
