GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – For the third year in a row, Grand Rapids landed on a list of one of the country’s 25 best-running cities.

The shout-out came in WalletHub’s 2025 report on municipal operating efficiency. Grand Rapids bumped up one spot from last year to no. 22.

For the report, the city was pitted against 148 of the nation’s largest cities.

WalletHub determined rankings on city performance markers like financial stability, education, health, safety, economy and infrastructure.

Provo, Utah took the top spot.
