OTISVILLE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan State Police (MSP) identified the man who died in a shootout with troopers after barricading himself in a Genesee County home for several hours on Thursday night.

Officials said 54-year-old James Jennings was heavily armed during the hours-long standoff inside an Otisville home. Troopers said they responded to a domestic assault situation after a woman escaped the residence and called for help.
