BOIS BLANC ISLAND, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Law enforcement on Mackinac County’s Bois Blanc Island said “a potential situation involving automatic weapons being fired” has ended with no known injuries and a suspect in custody.
On Monday evening, dispatch audio received reports of a man on the island and “the neighbors are reporting that he is shooting through their walls.” The Bois Blanc Island Fire Department reported on Facebook that their crew was standing by to help law enforcement if needed.
“We are grateful for the presence of the many LE personnel who were dispatched to BBI and who brought this incident to a safe conclusion,” the post said.
