Tamara McDiarmid of Lansing Community College spoke about the challenges the graduates faced during the four-week program.

“When you can celebrate them for learning this amount of information while also trying to have their family support and adjusting to different sleep schedules is an amazing feat, that’s why we support them here today,” McDiarmid said.

LCC also operates the separate Mid-Michigan Police Academy, which was established in 1967.
